About
Meet Melissa
Founder of Your Energy Catalyst
Helping women reclaim their energy — one sustainable step at a time.
I've always been fascinated by what helps people feel healthy, resilient, and energized. That passion has guided my career, shaped my life's biggest challenges, and ultimately led me to create Your Energy Catalyst.
For more than 25 years, I've worked at the intersection of healthcare, clinical research, fitness, and behavior change. With a master's degree in Healthcare Administration, years managing clinical research studies, and leadership roles supporting quality and clinical risk management within a global medical device organization, I've built a strong foundation in evidence-based health and wellness. Along the way, I became a NASM Certified Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach — because I discovered my greatest passion wasn't just understanding health, it was helping people live it.
What shaped this work
My greatest lessons didn't come from my career.
They came from life.
After a serious cycling accident left me with multiple injuries and a traumatic brain injury, I learned firsthand that resilience isn't something you're born with — it's something you build, one decision at a time. One year later, I crossed the finish line of my first Half Ironman, proving to myself that setbacks don't have to define what's possible.
Years later, just before my youngest child left for college, I discovered a breast cancer that had gone undetected on a mammogram. My background in clinical research gave me the confidence to ask questions, advocate for myself, and participate in a clinical trial that aligned with my treatment goals. Navigating surgery, unexpected complications, and a year of treatment reinforced something I now share with every client: our health is too important to put on hold, and lasting wellness is created through small, intentional choices made consistently over time.
Resilience isn't something you're born with — it's something you build, one decision at a time.

How I coach
Wellness that fits into real life.
Those experiences transformed the way I approach coaching. I don't believe wellness should feel overwhelming or all-consuming. I believe it should fit into real life.
My approach focuses on practical, sustainable habits that help women:
- Increase their energy
- Build resilience
- Manage stress
- Move with confidence
- Feel more like themselves again
Whether you're juggling a demanding career, caring for everyone else before yourself, navigating a life transition, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward with confidence — one step at a time.
Off the clock
Movement is how I reconnect.
When I'm not coaching, you'll usually find me lifting weights, practicing hot yoga, hiking with our three rescue dogs — Faith, Rusty, and Rebel — riding, or spending time with my husband and our two children.
I'm also a lifelong athlete, a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt, a former competitive triathlete, and a women's self-defense instructor. Movement has always been one of the ways I reconnect with my energy, and I love helping others discover what movement can do for them, too.
